Our client is a leading global food ingredients multinational with a hugely strong presence in consumer food processing in selected European markets. Through acquisitions and organic growth the company has grown to an organisation with sales of excess of 4 Billion. To meet the demands of an expanding global food ingredients and food company, they are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to work in our Corporate Head office.

The Role

The successful candidate will assist in the management and co-ordination of all tax matters across the Continental EMEA region and will be involved in:

  • Preparation and reporting on regional tax matters to Group Tax including budgets, forecasts, year end audit and deferred tax calculations.
  • Ensure compliance is effectively managed across the region and all return deadlines are met across all tax heads.
  • Assist in identification, evaluation and development of tax planning initiatives across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Assist with implementation of transfer pricing policies and maintenance of related documentation.
  • Assist in Due Diligence work and acquisition planning in the region.
  • Training and development of finance personnel with respect to tax issues

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A third level university degree.
  • An accounting/tax qualification with 2 years post qualification experience preferably in a large practice or in a similar role.
  • Excellent detail conscious skills
  • First class numerical and technical analysis skills,
  • Excellent conversational and written English.
  • Excellent business writing skills
  • Good knowledge of systems and IT (e.g. Excel, Word, etc)
  • A proactive attitude with an ability to work on his/her own initiative.
  • Good team working skills
  • Drive and determination
  • International tax experience is an advantage but not essential
