A cutting edge multinational experiencing steady growth is seeking to appoint an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to be based at their European Shared Services Centre in Cork.
Working alongside an existing credit team, the successful candidate will report to the EMEA Credit and Collections Manager and undertake the following principal duties:
- Assist in the completion of annual credit limit reviews for all live customers
- Educate customers on Credit Control Corporate policies and ensure policies are understood and enforced
- Maintain compliance with Credit Insurance policies
- Remain first point of contact for Credit Insurer and hold regular meetings with Credit Insurer in relation to Credit Limit applications, requested information or reports.
- Continually assess the credit worthiness of customers, recommend credit limits, seek approval from management and suggest financial security as appropriate to reduce risk.
- Set up an effective archiving system for customers financial information, credit rating reports and maintain credit information agencies online account
- Manage securities file
- In accordance with the Authorization Matrix ensure customer payment terms and Credit Limits are inline with the matrix and approved.
- As required ensure Credit Control team maintain same information in Customer Master file
- Undertake regular reporting, metrics & analysis
- Adhere to Credit Control SOX processes & controls
- Recommend continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience as a credit risk analyst from a multinational or banking environment is preferred.
- A strong commercial acumen and business understanding
- Degree qualified ideally in Business, Finance, and Accountancy or credit management qualification from a professional institute.
- Experience in interpreting financial statements, trading with Credit Insurance policy & knowledge of financial securities.
- Previous exposure to Sarbanes Oxley & European environment an advantage
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- IT literate: MS Office package / Oracle experience an advantage
- Team player, accurate, precise & organized individual
- Ability to set priorities & work to own initiative
- Comfortable working under pressure & to tight deadlines
